For the first I was nervous because I thought it would had been a new foreign teacher at this course.
However, finally Henry showed for this class. I was very glad for his teaching.
The original class is talking about the communication by phone.
Finally we talked about the social networking, not limiting by phone, the original topic for this class.
From MSN, Google talk, Skype to Facebook.
Henry said that Google talk is very famous in US.
I have never used with Google talk. Maybe someday I will try it.
 
The first talk we didn't mention about Facebook. I thought Facebook in a sudden.
Then Henry started to say something interested about Facebook and My Space.
He said that if possible, he would have to change the name of Facebook and My Space. He would called them the "Ass-book" or "My Ass".
First of all, I didn't understand what he said, but my smart classmate got it down for its prouncation.
It's cool enough!
So Henry started the topic about "Ass".
 
There are many useful expression about "Ass", and its meaning may be very useful!
Sometimes it's the slang, but finally it becomes to the mainstream.
For instance,
1. I'm = My ass
2. You = Your ass
3. Ass is King. (I thought it was the main topic about my class. Haha!)
4. Where's your ass? = Where are you?
5. Nice ass! = Do it well!
6. Your ass is mine! = I'm going to win or be successful.
7. Your ass in grass. = You're in big trouble.
8. I'm on my ass. = Having a diffcult time cannot deal with the pressure.
9. Your ass is on fire. = You are doing very well.
10. ass backwards = doing it completely wrong.
 
There are something for the colorful language,which is more effective communication than the apporiate way.
For example,
1. that's how we roll. = that's the way we do things.
2. It's all good! = Although they may be difficulties or problems, we're confident in overcoming. (= winning or being successful).
 
At this class, the English learning was very funny and interesting.
I really like to learn by this way. Maybe just because of Henry. Haha!
However, I think my listening and understanding is a bit confused.
I have to pay more attention about it and try to break the difficulties about it.
 
My oral is still not good enough. I have to try more about talking and expressing what I think and what I want to express.

上了三週英文課之感想...

小皓一直覺得我在上海學英文是一件很詭異的事,
光是發音...嗯...這是我目前很無法接受的事,只好讓自己多聽外國老師的發音,
避免被影響...
沒辦法啊,就已經沒事做,要趕快找些事情讓我自己忙一點
所以經由ponderson的介紹,到現在的school學英文了...

裡頭有不少外國老師(上海人稱之為外教);
第一個要大力推薦的就是第一個"面試"我還有教我學英文的Henry,
他也讓我對黑人的印象改觀(以前既有印象的錯誤感覺),
或許是因為他太太也是台灣人,或許是因為我是ponderson的朋友,
或許他也是我第一次敢開口講長達五分鐘英文的外國人,
所以他對我還滿親切的~(或許人家因為是老人家,所以對學生都很親切,哈哈)
特別是他有些想法跟觀念還滿吸引我的~

今天第一次正式上Henry的salon課,可以感受到他對teaching的熱情,
其實今天知道要上他的課還有點小緊張,
不過整個上課的氣氛超好,
也讓我覺得要立志學好英文的意念更加深了...:p

之前還有一個加拿大籍的Max,他也是一個不錯的外教老師,
他也讓我知道”Canada is North America, but not North of the America." Haha....It's different!
還有來自北歐的Yan~聽ponderson說她曾是某家大公司的ceo,是退休之後來上海教英文的~
她的旅遊經歷及語文學習能力超驚人,她去過八十多個國家,會講十一種語言,
連最難的俄羅斯文都會說,而且是很流利的那種,
超強!
上課時她說到她對上海的感覺跟我的感覺是一樣的,但對那些中國同學來說,他們很難理解我們所說的意思...
哈哈,我好像都可以從外教老師身上找到一些相同的感覺跟感想...

ponderson said maybe the foreign teacher is Aaron.
He is typical American guy. His doing and writing or speaking type is American style.
He loves learning Japanese but not Chinese because Chinese is too difficult to learn for him.

我好像都喜歡在工作的第三年跟第四年找一些學語文的事來做,
前一個三年是在學粵語;這個三年在學英文;
下一個三年呢?還沒想到...

I start to love learning English. First purpose is for transferring, but now I want to learn by interest.
I hope one day I can be good in English, for the purpose to transfer!
